Personality:

Skylight is a very quiet pony. He doesn't like a lot of attention and he's really only comfortable around his friends. Due to a traumatic past, he is utterly terrified of dragons and anything dragon-related, including fire. Around strangers, be they other foals or older ponies, Skylight usually acts very quiet and withdrawn.

Around his friends however, Skylight loves to goof off and make his friends laugh. He's good at coming up with wild and crazy schemes, most of which never work. He's also very sneaky; despite being a pegasus and naturally wanting to be in the air, Skylight is quite adept at slinking along the ground silent as a mouse.

Skylight is prone to sudden bouts of low self esteem and depression, where he doubts his own abilities and fears he'll let down everyone around him.

History:

When Skylight was just a foal, a terrible accident occurred. He had been out with his parents, when a dragon who was searching for diamonds landed. As it turned out, the area that they had chosen for their walk contained a hidden mine, filled with diamonds and other such gems. Frightened, Skylight's parents made him hide under a nearby bush while they attempted to fight off the ferocious beast.

There were other ponies around too, but at the time Skylight hadn't seen any other foals. The battle was over quickly in a flurry of flames.

Skylights parents were gone. However, not too long after the battle, Skylight saw another pony; a young filly earth pony named Red Light. Skylight instantly stuck to her side; the two became virtually glued together. Skylight saw her as his big sister, because she acted tough. He didn't feel safe unless she was around.

The two orphans grew up a little more, and decided to become crime fighters. They would fight crime while searching for their cutie marks. They would help out the poor and less fortunate, while "punishing" those who were cruel.

One day while Red Light was sleeping, Skylight went back to site of the battle. He had had a nightmare, and in his confused mind he only wanted the comfort of his mother. What he found were piles of burnt bones. However, in one of the piles he found what had been his mothers necklace, which had been made of rare purple pearls. Only one was not charred. Skylight strung the pearl onto his tail before returning to Red Light. He never explained it to her, but whenever Skylight gets upset, he always looks at the pearl.
