Personality:
Red light is curt, brash and rather loud. She pretends not to care much what other ponies think of her - if they don't like it, they can go somewhere else! Due to a traumatic past, she has a passionate hatred for dragons and everything dragon-related, even including fire. Around strangers, "Red" tends to act very abrasive and callous.
Among her (few) friends, Red light is almost fanatically loyal. She will go out of her way to protect ponies she thinks are in danger, and she frequently offers advice, sarcastic comments, black humor and the (rare) shoulder to lean on for those she cares about. Like Skylight, she's good at being sneaky; despite not having wings, she's good at using ropes, grapples and gliding tools to flit around Canterlot like a bat on the wind.

History:
When Red Light was just a baby, a terrible accident occurred. She had been out with her parents, when a dragon who was searching for diamonds landed. As it turned out, the area that they had chosen for their walk contained a hidden mine, filled with diamonds and other such gems. Frightened, Red Light's parents made her hide under a nearby bush while they attempted to fight off the ferocious beast. They failed, and the "battle" ended quickly and decisively in a flurry of flames. Red Light couldn't see anything from happening in the flames, but she never saw her parents again.
Terrified and helpless, Red Light lay for hours until she was found by a sky-blue pegasi pony - her first, best and (sometimes) only friend. After recovering from the shock of her parents' deaths and her subsequent orphanage, Red Light promised she would be stronger - strong enough that Skylight would never have to worry about hiding her, or protecting her, ever again.
The two orphans became practically glued to each other, and after a time one or the other got the notion in their heads of becoming a crime fighter. Together, they would comb the streets, the woods and the caves of all of the ponylands, helping the downtrodden and punishing the cruel. Red Light also saw this as an opportunity to earn her cutie mark, as well - if she found it, she would finally become an adult and be able to protect everyone around her.
