In her attempt to find out more about the bison, Pastel Moon had decided to take on the task of making a diplomatic trip to the Central Plains. She stood in the Main Square of Canterlot, trying to get any pony that passed her to join her in the trip."Please,"she inquired quietly. "We need to learn more about these great creatures. Befriending them, joining with them to better Equestria, and even learn about their way of life. Come with me and discover something new."So far, it seemed she had no luck. The unicorn was adamant but either the ponies passing by couldn't hear her or they had no interest. So, with a sigh, she sat herself by the fountain and waited. She had the piece of paper with the specifics on it and decided to look it over. The Quest: The restless bison herds of the Central Plains stand directly between us and the rest of Equestria. Black Feather
It seemed as though there wasn't going to be much volunteering, but after a few moments as Pastel Moon began to view over the specifics, a single shadow cast over the paper like a forecast; the shadow of a single black wing and the shape of a slowing long mane of a large pony. "It seems like you're not having much luck in finding a partner," the figure said. Black Feather looked from the pony and shifted his eyes to the document below; he was fairly skilled in reading upside down as well as he was reading rightway up. "Perhaps I can assist you?

The unicorn gasped, surprised by the sudden shadow cast over her. Looking up at the one-winged pegasus, she smiled brightly. "Oh, you are very right," she answered, sounding hopeful. As he offered his assistance, she nodded her head. "That would be wonderful! Thank you so much." Pastel Moon stood up, her short tail flicking up excitedly. Going to the plains to see the bison was a wonderful adventure for her. "Shall we head out with just the two of us or do you think it's a good idea to see if we can't find another companion or two?" It's clear she fully thinks of him as a partner already and his opinion is worth a lot.

Black Feather
Black Feather looked up and began to glance around the area; he wasn't sure exactly how many he would be able to persuade to join in on the quest, but then again he wasn't sure of if they even needed a third people. He had read about the Bison, but he had never confronted one before. He turned back to Pastel Moon. "I'm not entirely sure. I've read that the Bison are somewhat docile and negotiable. However, that remains to be personally proven. Perhaps it would be best if we were to acquire a third member." Black Feather then took off of the ground with the flap of his single wing before drifting away. "I'll see if I can find another member."

"That sounds like a wonderful idea. Thank you again," she offered to him as he floated away. Then she looked around herself. There had to be somepony else that she could find. So she, again, started to try getting other ponies' attention. She began walking around, talking to anypony she could and explaining the help she (and Black Feather) needed to anypony who would listen.
