*bang bang bang* Who's there? Rainbow Flipsy! We were hoping you were home. Something terrible has happened. What is it? What's wrong? Some of our fillies were playing near the stream. They fell in and got carried into ... well, into The Twilight Forest. -grabbing my hooded cape I rushed by them and headed to the dark and looming forest at the edge of Coltstonsville-

I knew the forest's inhabitants were more unknown than known, but if I didn't at least try to help the little ones, I would never be able to live with myself. As I was running into the forest, it got darker and darker with each trot. I could hear somepony's voice behind me saying something like "look out for the wind. go." The wind? I couldn't imagine what they could possibly mean, but I was on my guard nonetheless.

Dashing around boulders, ducking under branches. My ears strained to hear something other than the sound of my hooves on the damp ground. There was an oppression in the air that was thick and tiring. A sticky vine hanging from a low branch got stuck in my cape and threw me to the ground with my own momentum. Panting hard, scraped, and bruised, I sat still and silent trying to catch even a squeak that could lead me to the missing fillies.

A long moment passed before I heard something. It was panting? No! It was splashing! I headed to the west, towards the lake the stream lead into. Splashing was a good sign; a sign of life.
