Began as a "prince" (his parents had a lot of wealth) and was pampered. His parents noticed how he was acting and made him become a mercenary. At first he resented them for it but then he realized how well the job suited him. His parents still make him work as a mercenary, but he doesn't hate them for it. He made a vow to not take from his parents fortune but make his own living.
